A Love Hate Thing: My Musings on Technology

- My 12th grade literature class has focused on the side by side relationship of technology and civilization development. While we seem content with our everyday use of technologies, may they be our ultimate demise? This course is reflecting on this potential issue using pieces of literature such as: Technopoly, Brave New World, and 1984. During this course I expect to encounter some rather interesting projects and assignments. We've already been assigned a project that required us to live 1-2 days without use of a chosen amount of technology. My belief for the project was for us to truly see how much technology we use and how much of a inconvenience it is to live without it in today's world, within a wealthy country.
